It has been recorded that no fewer than 60 persons have been killed in a tanker explosion loaded with petroleum products which fell and exploded along Odukpani LGA axis of the Ikom-Calabar high way near the federal housing estate ,Calabar , Cross-river. It was said that the victims were scooping fuel from the tanker when it started bringing out flames. According to an eyewitness , it was reported that people where running to the scene with gallons and other containers to scoop the fuel after the tanker moved off from the ditch.
