The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) has declared January 8th, 2019 as national day for the protest over the delay in the new minimum wage for the country.
The decision was taken at it’s national executive council meeting , according to a statement by the Union’s president , Ayuba Wanna and the General secretary, Peter Ozo-eson on Friday.
” The NEC-in-session approved that the protest should take place in all state capitals and the federal capital territory Abuja on January 8th, 2019. The NEC mandates that all the industrial Unions and state councils should fully mobilise workers and coordinate other unions to embark on the protest.
