The National Examinations Council (NECO) has just released it’s 2018 November / December results for the senior secondary School certificate examination.

This was mentioned by the acting registrar of the National Examinations Council ( NECO), Abubakar Hana, who stated this on Friday .

Gana said that about 37,069 candidates representing 62.48 percent of the 59,963 candidates that sat for the examination , had five credits and above in English Language and Mathematics.

He also said that 44,497 candidates got distinction and credit in English Language while 47,151 candidates had either distinction or credit in Mathematics.

It was furthermore reported that the breakdown of the results , indicated that 47,031 candidates got five credits and above in both English and Mathematics.

Mr Gana told journalists on Friday that, about 12,084 candidates who sat for the examination were involved in examination malpractice.

Due to the examination malpractice, the body has decided to cancel the results of candidates who were involved in examination malpractice.
