Media practitioners in the media industry have emphasized on professionalism in journalism career.
The gathering took place at a media conference at Raddison Hotel, Abeokuta on Wednesday.
The theme of the conference was” National Interest , Freedom Of Expression And Governance In Africa”.
According to THE COMMUNICATOR BLOG, some of the veterans in the profession were Chief Tola Adeniyi and Aremu Taiwo Alimi.
The veterans in their speech emphasized that the media in it’s programming function must improve in it’s programme dussemination. They also said that the Nigerian media today must serve the interest of the country in providing good and adequate information to the society.
” Media is more than a reporting world that is, the media should stand for a course and be by that course”.
Other media gurus present were the General Manager of NTA Abeokuta, Mrs Funmi Wakama, Doctor Oluseyi Soremekun, Mr Eddy Aina of Sweet107.1FM, Professor Muyiwa Popoola,Mr Solomon Ntukekpo among others.
