In the mean time, a Police Inspector has been reported to have shot himself and his wife dead at a Prison Barrack, Ikoyi in Lagos state on Saturday October 26.
It was reported that the man is said to be an Inspector of Police while the woman happens to be an inspector of Prisons. The reason for the murder-suicide was yet to be unknown at the time of the incident.
The couple were rushed to the hospital after the incident but the woman died in the early hours of yesterday October 27th while the man died later in the day.
Confirming the incident to newsmen, the spokesperson of the state police command, Bala Elkana, said the incident happened on Saturday 26th of October, 2019.The police is currently investigating the matter to disclose the reason behind the dastard act. According to him He said the names of the couple cannot be released at the moment as their families have not been contacted about the tragic incident.
