Investigative journalist Fisayo Soyombo has claimed no fewer than 21 people died following an investigative report he said he did about the Lekki toll gate shooting that occurred on October 20, 2020.
Soyombo said he spent 10 weeks tracing the deaths from the military intervention at the Lekki Tollgate and discovered that least 21 people died when End SARS protesters stationed at the Lekki Tollgate were shot at on October 20.
The report is a three-part series tracing not just the deaths, but also the disappearances and injuries resulting from that tragic incident.
The report was published by the Foundation For Investigative Journalism (FIJ).
