In the meantime, atleast no fewer than forty-four (44) students have graduated with First-Class Degrees in the 2018/2019 academic session at Ajayi Crowther University (ACU), Oyo.
Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Dapo Asaju made this known while speaking with journalists at a press conference on Monday as part of the activities put in place to kick start the 11th convocation ceremony of the institution.
Asaju while giving a breakdown of the number of students added that a total of one thousand, three hundred and ninety students are being conferred with first degrees while three hundred and twenty-seven (327) students are being conferred with various postgraduate degrees in the university.
He added that a total of forty-four students made First Class, five hundred and fifty (550) made Second Class Upper, and about four hundred students made second class lower.
In the law faculty, 3 made first class, 24 with second class upper division, 25 with second class lower division and 2 with third class division.
According to the vice Chancellor , for the first time in the history of the institution, the institution is graduating the first set of law students who are also the pioneer law students in the University.
A total number of 1,390 first degree holders are expected to graduate while 327 post graduate students are also to graduate at this year’s convocation ceremony.
